Chinese street food in Amsterdam
Hand-pulled noodles, crispy jian bing and spicy wok dishes, made fresh to order. Real Chinese street food, the way you eat it on the streets of China, with two kitchens right in the heart of Amsterdam Zuid.
Chinese street food is quick, fresh and full of flavour: dishes made the way they are on the streets, night markets and small street kitchens of China, to order and right in front of you. At China Supreme we bring that street kitchen to Amsterdam, with no compromises.
Where the average Chinese takeaway leans on sweet-and-sour and prawn crackers, we cook the way they do on the streets of China: real Chinese street food. Think of noodles we pull by hand on the spot, crepes cooked live on the griddle, and sauces that are spicy, sweet and savoury all at once. Every dish is made fresh the moment you order it, not hours in advance.
So in Amsterdam Zuid you will find a piece of real Chinese street culture, whether you are after Chinese street food to take away quickly, to have delivered, or to enjoy at the table in Buitenveldert or on the Zuidas.

Our street food classics
Our menu revolves around a handful of dishes we know inside out. These are the classics we are known for:
Jian bing
The famous breakfast crepe from the streets of Beijing: a wafer-thin batter of wheat and mung-bean flour, cooked on the griddle with egg, crunchy wonton, spring onion and a swipe of sweet bean sauce and chilli. Read more about our jian bing →
Biang biang noodles
Hand-pulled noodles, wide as a belt and with a firm bite, bathed in roasted chilli oil, garlic and black vinegar. A speciality from Xi'an you will rarely find this fresh. Read more about our hand-pulled noodles →
Dan dan mian
Sichuan noodles in a spicy, nutty sauce of sesame, chilli oil and Sichuan pepper, topped with seasoned minced meat and spring onion. Small in size, but addictive in flavour.
Spicy cold chicken
Tender chicken in a cold Sichuan sauce full of chilli oil, sesame and that signature numbing pepper. Perfect as a starter or to share.

Why it is real street food with us
We grew up on this food, on the street and at home. You taste that background: we do not adapt the recipes to Dutch tastes, but keep them the way they are in China. Fresh ingredients, the right spices from Sichuan, and technique you only get by hand, like pulling noodles or cooking a jian bing live on the griddle.
Street food is all about freshness and pace. That is why we make as much as possible to order, in two open kitchens where you see the food come together. No trays sitting around all day, but a dish made for your order. That is the difference between street food and a standard takeaway, and exactly why guests from all over Amsterdam Zuid keep coming back.

Frequently asked questions
What is Chinese street food?
Chinese street food refers to the dishes made on the streets, markets and small street kitchens of China: fresh, quick and full of flavour. Think jian bing (breakfast crepe), hand-pulled noodles and spicy Sichuan bites, usually made to order rather than hours in advance.
Where can I find Chinese street food in Amsterdam?
At China Supreme in Amsterdam Zuid: in Buitenveldert (Buitenveldertselaan 114) and on the Zuidas in Market 33 (Claude Debussylaan 33). You can take away, have it delivered or eat at the table.
How is it different from a regular Chinese takeaway?
A typical Chinese takeaway is often adapted to Western tastes (sweet-and-sour, prawn crackers). We cook authentic Chinese street food from Beijing and Sichuan, with fresh ingredients, real Sichuan spices and handwork like pulling noodles, all made to order.
Can I get Chinese street food delivered?
Yes, we deliver in the area through Thuisbezorgd and Uber Eats. Take-away at either of our two kitchens in Amsterdam Zuid is of course also possible.
Is your street food vegetarian-friendly?
We have several vegetarian options. Feel free to ask us about the possibilities, we are happy to help.
What is your best-known dish?
Our jian bing and hand-pulled biang biang noodles are favourites, along with the spicy Sichuan dishes. Not sure what to pick? Our team is happy to help you choose.
